Meeting Santa

Today we took Sawyer to meet Santa at MacAurther mall. Uncle Paul was still here so he got to come with us. It was so much fun! I'm not really into the "Santa thing" but I think it's fun to play. They have a super fun display set up. You get to walk through a fake snow globe. Sawyer LOVED it. I got a few great videos. Uncle Paul did a great job getting some pictures and video of Sawyer on Santa's lap. After we walked around the mall and of course visited the awesome play area. Sawyer is really getting confindent with the walking. He is a little too brave for me...I'm trying to not freak out but he goes about ten steps before he crashed. Crashing doesen't stop him he just gets back up and goes again. He's ready to run.

Sawyer's 1st Birthday Party

Sawyer's Birthday Party. Just loaded all these pictures and they are out of order and I it's taking forever to get them in the correct place. So check out the pictures and read the info below. Also Happy Birthday video at the end.

Sawyer's birthday isn't until the 5th of the December but I wanted to have his birthday party while my brother and my best friend Jen were here for Thanksgiving. I told myself not to have my expectations high for Sawyer's enjoyment level. He blew me away. The party was a blast. He loves kids so being surrounded with a house full was perfect for him. He is for sure a people person like his momma. We had a Baby Einstein theme. My friend Hannah made him a sweet birthday cake. We planned crafts for the kids. We made little sock puppets and Caterpillar pins. My mom and dad hosted the party at their house, I think they had as much fun as Sawyer. It was amazing having a houseful of our friends celebrating our little boys 1st birthday.
Sawyer had his first birthday cake. There were almost 40 people there singing happy birthday I didn't know if it would freak him out or not. It didn't he just looked around like wow you guys sound good. haha It was so cute. When he saw the candle on the cake he went to touch it, I don't know what I was thinking but when he reached out I didn't stop him. Good thing it was only one candle. He had his own cupcake which was his first cake. He liked it so much he tried to grab Christina's cake. :-)
We were so blessed by our friends. I didn't expect people to bring gifts but they did and it was a blessing. Sawyer enjoyed the wrapping paper and the balloons. Katelyn made him a hoody jacked with matching hat and mittens. It was such a special gift. When Katlyn turned one I made her a hoody jacket and she now has made one for my son...wow time flies I am so blessed!!!

My heart is so full tonight. I have the most wonderful, kind and loving husband. We have the sweetest best natured little boy. I love my family and all the wonderful friends the Lord has brought into our lives.

Thanksgiving 2009

This was Sawyer's first Thanksgiving. Paul was home for the holiday and it was nice having all the family together. We had a nice relaxing day at my parents house. My dad and I took Sawyer to the park near my parents house. My dad loves letting Sawyer play in the dirt. haha He's a good grandpa. My dad started this new game with Sawyer. He puts him in this toy bin and pushes him around on the carpet while singing "Row row row your boat". Sawyer then starts saying row row row. The other day my dad was at the house and Sawyer did not want him to leave. He cried when my dad put him down. When my dad walked out the front door Sawyer pointed to the door and started saying row row row row. It was so cute. He loves playing with grandpa.

Here are a few pics from the day.

The Sound of Sawyer

Sawyer has been making this prrrring sound for the last few months. I have until now been unable to get him on video. I was worried that one day he would stop doing it and I would never capture the moment. Then the other night I finally got it!! YAY he is so cute!!

DinoSawyer Rex

For Halloween Sawyer and I were in Boston visiting my dear friend Christen and her husband Vince. We had a wonderful time seeing the city of Boston. Sawyer had a lot of firsts. He had his first plain ride. I was a little nervous about it but he did fine. He had lots of snacks. I had my ipod and he listened to music for a while. Next time I'll load one of his movies for him to watch. He had his first ride on a train/subway. The very first time was after a flying and it was so crowded he was ready for bed. The second day he enjoyed it a lot more. He was amazed at the outside going by so fast. We took a Duck Tour bus through the city and it turns into a boat so Sawyer also had his first boat ride. :-)

Debbie, Christen and I have been on several trips together through the years. It was fun having Sawyer added to our adventure. I'm sure it will not be the last.
