Our journey continues...

Never a dull moment in the lives of the Bush family.  We are getting ready to begin the next chapter of the adventure we call our life. I have been trying to get my blog up to date for weeks by posting highlights and pictures from the last few months. It's been a whirlwind since we came back to the states in November. To be honest I'm at a loss for words I have been wanting to write this blog for days but haven't been able to really put how I feel into words. It's all been so fast and I'm still trying to wrap my head around all that is about to change. So I guess I'll just spit it out....we are moving to Atlanta Georgia in less than a week!! I know it's a little crazy. If there is anything I have learned in the last 10 years of my life it's that life can change on a dime and you either roll with it or you get stuck. My dear friend Nancy Feucht used to say "blessed are the flexible, for when they are bent they do not break". Well I've been good about doing my stretches that's for sure and I'm not broken...yet....lol I have to be honest I am praying this will be the last BIG move for us for a while. I have had many great memories from our time in "transition" but I am truly ready to settle in for a while.
Why are we moving? Things here have not worked out as we thought they would. Mainly financially with Tyson's job but in other ways too. Every time we felt the Lord was opening a door for us to move into a house it would slam closed. A little over a month ago Tyson and I started praying again about where to live. A job opportunity came up for Tyson in ATL and it opened up a world of possibilities for us to consider. We still are not exactly sure of what is going to happen with that job but in the meantime we are moving closer to be in a position for God to open doors. He has lead us so quickly and made many impossible things happen in our hearts and in our practical situation. We went to ATL at the beginning of Aug and found a great little condo to rent. God just provided a safe place in a perfect location and it's available now. With Tyson's work experience over the last 10 years we are going to start our own insurance business. While we wait on the Lord for the possibility of a more permanent income we are taking action and stepping into something we feel he's lead us to. I will be able to work with and support Tyson (as an employee of our company) from home and that is a huge answer to prayer. I have thought about going back to work but I'm not ready to give up my roll as a stay at home mom so I have been asking the Lord to provide a chance for me to do both. I know it will help me feel I am doing more to contribute to our families financial situation while also doing what I love (being a mom to Sawyer).
We would appreciate all your prayers as this is a BIG leap of faith for us. We really feel the Lord leading us and we have confidence in Him! Please pray for the transition for Sawyer as well. He is going to miss my parents and my nephews terribly. The bright spot in this is my brother Paul and his wife Amanda will be living less than 10 minutes away so we will have family close by. I have another dear longtime friend (KATIE!!!!) that will be about 30-40 min away so I'm looking forward to reconnecting with her after all these years.
I will miss my dear friends and my family in VA but I want to be where God can plant and prosper my family.
Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Here are a few pics from our trip to our soon to be new home!
.

Sawyer loves pushing the elevator buttons in Paul and Amanda's building.
One morning Amanda was gone to a meeting at work when Sawyer woke up. When Paul left he told Sawyer Amanda would be home soon. I found him sitting like this at the door a few minutes later. When I asked him why he was sitting there he said "Paul said Mana will be here soon". lol

One of the places we looked at was downtown so we took the opportunity to ride the MARTA for the first time. Sawyer of course loved it.

I love this picture of Sawyer for some reason. He looks like such a big boy.

"Working" with Paul

Aunt Amanda needed his "help" with work

Fun with Fondue at Donte's.

Love my big brother!
