Little man on a big field

Sawyer loves to run around the field at Hope House. This is a random video I got of him playing with the soccer ball.

Bigger by the day

These are just some pictures I have recently taken of Sawyer. He is getting so big.

He will now not eat apples in slices he wants to eat it whole like a big boy.
"fly fly"that's what he says when he wants to fly on my feet. :-)

His favorite....yogurt drinks

Ball Pit

The baby depot store here has a play area for kids. Sawyer hat a wonderful time jumping in the ball pit. He played in there for almost an hour.

The Queen's Project

For the queens birthday all the kids had Thursday and Friday off. We took the girls and Sawyer up the mountain to the queen's project. It's like a botanical garden. Flowers and plants to look at from all over Thailand. The kids had a great time. We made a picnic lunch and the girls thought that was fun. There was also a little museum we went through. It was a great day.

Crafty days

The last few weeks I've been spending time at home during the day. When Sawyer goes down for his nap I have had some time to get crafty. My mother in law bought some warm fabric for me to work with and I have been having a ball. The hill tribes don't have warm clothes and in the winter time it can get freezing in the mountains. The children have nothing to wear. We are doing an outreach in November so I am trying to get some things made for then. I made little pants and shoes. I am working on adjusting my pattern that I made from an old pare of pants of Andrews. I want to make 3 sizes. One smaller like Sawyers size and then a bigger size for older kids. I want to teach a sewing class to some of the girls at Hope House. There are a few sewing machines they can use. Then I can get them to help me make enough to hand out pants to all the families in the tribes.
The little shoes are super cute. I used the scraps from the pants to put them together. They are small size for about 6 months old but I am going to try and adjust it to make it for older children maybe up to 2 or 3. They were a little more difficult to make then the pants but after I get the girls going on the pants I'm going to get them making the shoes too.

Baby fun...Sawyer's 1st painting

Mondays my sister in law has started a little toddle play group/class. Several of the staff at Hope House staff have little ones. This last Monday there were only 3 kids but there were 6 signed up so next week we will probably have a bigger group. This was Sawyer's first time painting. Yes I saved the pictures for his scrapbook. :-) He loved dipping his finger in the different colors.
This little girl is Eve she is 2.5 and is a cute little girl.

Sawyer's 1st painting.
Sawyer's 2nd painting

This little guy is Jaken. He is only 2 months younger than Sawyer.

Sawyer was happy to have little people his size to play with. They danced, played with balloons, read books, painted, watched a little move and just played in the "birds nest".

Sorry the pictures are in random order. I don't feel like fixing it haha
Doesn't Sawyer look cute in his paint shirt?!

Playing at Hope House

Sawyer has a wonderful time playing on the jungle gym at Hope House. He use to just swing but then the other day he saw someone climb up it and that was it he had to try. Now that is all he wants to do is climb up and down. He does a little celebration dance after he makes it to the top. My boy is getting big.

"Amen"

Sawyer is talking non stop. The other night I was praying with him before bed and I said amen at the end. He than looks up and says "amen". It was so cute and sweet. Now he is walking around saying amen amen amen. :-)

More Soccer fun

More soccer fun. Their had been several days or rain and since the boys have been practivcing so much there wasn't much grass. There was a lot of sliding in the mud.Sawyer having fun as always. His friend Pan.
Pan and her sweet face. :-)
The girls following Sawyer around.

Sawyer kept trying to get to Tyson while he was reffing. Sawyer was not happy he could go to him durring the game.

It's so much fun watching the boys play. They all have such a wonderful time.

Tum Yum Soup revisited

Our first visit to Thailand several years back Tyson was a little bit cocky about the food. We ate at a restaurant and he ordered Tum Yum soup "extra Spicy". His mother warned him but he did not listen. Let me tell you it was not pretty. He was in pain for 2 days. haha Here the regular spice is hotter than extra spicy in the states.

Well this time he decided to work his way up to it. We went to the same restaurant and he ordered his soup....this time just normal not EXTRA spice. haha

Still really spicy but he was able to eat it...and there was no pain this time. :-)

20 Months

These jammies are my favorite! I'm sad they are getting to small for Sawyer. I had to get a few pictures in his little space jammies before he is too big.
He is growing up so fast I can hardly believe it! He's still such a sweet boy. He still gives me lots of kisses and hugs. He has become very independent. He wants to do everything on his own and he wants to be big like everyone else. He will not let us help him do things. I love him so so much I thank God everyday for giving me such a sweet boy. My baby is growing up.....
