Meeting Virginia

My dear old friend Katie was in town this last weekend. We met for lunch one afternoon and our kids had a chance to meet. Little Virginia is such a sweet baby, she and Sawyer hit it off. :-) It was fun being with Katie and getting caught up. I can't believe we are both moms now. It seems like yesterday we were 10 years old begging our moms to let us ride our bikes to Walmart. :-)

Cinco de Sawyer

Today my baby is FIVE months!!! Where does the time go?? He is looking so big these days. Last night Tyson and I went in his room to check on him before we went to bed. He was laying all stretched out and we both couldn't believe how big he is looking. This week he ate his first food...Rice cereal. He didn't love the taste (there isn't much taste to it) but once he got going he was loving it. I am loving it because now he is sleeping more at night. :-)

His latest obsession is his big toe. He loves grabbing his feet and chewing his big toe. Whenever he is on his back he is grabbing at his feet. :-)

His hair is growing out and is coming in blonde. He lost his hair on the sides but he never lost his hair on top. It just continues to grow out. His side hair is so light you can hardly see it so from a distance he looks like he has a bad toupee'. Soon I'm going to have to cut it but I can't bring myself to it yet.

Tonight we are making Mexican food at my parents for Cinco de Mayo and Sawyer's five month bday. I am enjoying the internet time. (we still have no internet at home) :-) I hope you are all blessed!!

My Little Man!

Sawyer is a source of total Joy in my life. I can't help but laugh out loud when I see his sweet face. God has blessed me with the happiest sweetest little boy. I couldn't have asked for more!!! Being a mom is wonderful and I cherish every moment I get to spend with my sweet little man. I'm usually the one taking the pictures but the other day when we were out with my aunt my mom snapped some shots with me and Sawyer. I love his laughing face. And yes I kiss his chubby perfect cheeks all the time!! :-)

Sawyer has been talking all the time. When Tyson's sister Deb was here I finally was able to get him chatting on video. Love this!

Tyson's family came all the way from Thailand to meet Sawyer. We had a fantastic time with them. Sawyer was so happy to meet everyone.

They were here for Easter so we colored eggs together. Andrew had never done it before and even though Sawyer is too little to enjoy it I still wanted to do it together.

One afternoon we went down to the beach (Sawyer's first time at the oceanfront).

We had a blast with everyone here and we were sad to see them leave. We'll see them again soon. :-)

Match Made in Heaven

Sawyer and my dad together makes my heart so full. My dad has wanted to be a grandfather for so long. Sawyer is the perfect answer to his prayers. Watching my dad play with Sawyer is the best!!! My dad will just giggle at the baby and it cracks me up watching a 54 year old man giggle. They have good times together exploring. My dad loves walking him around and showing him things. Now the weather is nice they are checking out the great world outside.
