Sawyer is Here

Sawyer Edward Bush arrived at 2:24am on December 5th 2008!!! He was 8 pounds and 3 ounces. He was 20.7 inches long. 20 hours of labor and 2 and 1/2 hours of pushing and he finally arrived. We are in love with this little guy already. They are keeping us here in the hospital until Sunday. I'll post more details but for now here are some pictures to tide you over. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS!! :-)Tuesday, November 25, 2008
Ready or not here he comes!!!!
Wow I think this is my first post that is on time... and I still have lots to get caught up on but for now....
Sawyer Bush is scheduled to arrive. I had a doctors appointment today and he is getting too big for me. He is just over 8lbs and they don't want him to get too big! I am scheduled to be induced on December 4th!!! I know that is 9 DAYS FROM NOW!!! I was a little nervous at first and I still have so much to get done at work but I'm at peace with it. It's nice to have an end date set and know that he is going to be here by then. Plus I get to pick my doctor to deliver! I love all the doctors in my practice but I do have a favorite and it gives me a little extra peace that she will be delivering my little boy! Please please please be in prayer for me this week as I prepare for this little man to arrive. I know God is in control and his timing is perfect so I'm leaning on that. :-) I'm going to be a mom in 9 days!!!!! YAY

Baby Update 36 weeks
Well I'm 36 weeks today and I'm way overdue for an update (as usual). I'm not going to sugar cote this...pregnancy is harder than I thought. Kudos to all you moms who have gone before me and continue to have lots and lots of kids. I have considered myself blessed to not have it as hard as some who have shared their stories...but I'm not going to lie my body is tired. :-)
I had my doctors appointment on Tuesday and it was wonderful to get an update. I got to have an ultra sound and it was AMAZING to see my little man again. I was overwhelmed by the goodness of God that he would bless me to carry this precious life. I had been stressing over the last few weeks about when he was going to arrive...and where we would be living and if I was going to work after he arrive...and how we could afford having a child...and then suddenly I just didn't care! Seeing his chubby little cheeks and watching this little miracle move around inside me just put things into perspective. God is so good to me! I can't believe how much I love this little boy already. We are still praying and trusting God for direction on all things in regards to our house, and my job and everything...I'm just happy that Sawyer is healthy. God knows when he is going to grace us with his presence. So please be praying for us in these next few days and weeks.
Other baby news: Sawyer is weighing in at 7.1 lbs!!! Yes I still have 4 weeks to go. He's a big boy. Please be praying for us, the doctors are keeping an eye on the situation but they don't think I'm going to make it to my due date. I haven't progressed any yet but at my next Dr. appointment they may talk about inducing me. We shall see..... He's also got a TON of hair. I could see it sticking straight up on the ultrasound. Hair like his dad's already...straight and thick. Now we just have to wait and see what color it is. We have changed our mind on the name too...we are not set on Sawyer Caleb. It's for sure Sawyer but we are between middle names....Drew or Edward. Drew is Ty's middle name and Edward is Tyson's father's middle name. At this point I just want to wait until he is born to decide. But feel free to put in your vote. :-)
That's all O have time for now. I have LOTS more to update you on and LOTS of pictures but this is all I can do at the moment.
I pray you are all well! Blessings!!!

Dad's 54th birhtday and Carving pumpkins
This years for dad's birthday my mom bought pumpkins for us to carve. I can't remember the last time we carved pumpkins as a family. This year everyone had a "partner" so we had a little competition between the couples. I love my family so much! I am so thankful to the Lord for a FUN family that can laugh together. I think my dad was blessed on his birthday just having us all home and hanging out. Here are some fun pictures.
Get to work! Paul and Rachel oh so serous!

One of my favorite places!
her around. My mom and dad both grew up there and we usually visit family while we are in town. This was the first time we had been back since my grandfather passed away. My aunt took us to the grave site and it was weird...hard to be there and not see him. It was good to see my family though. My cousins Ryan and Kevin came down town to meet us for Kelly's birthday. We had dinner at Morgan's and then we took her to the casino for the first time. We had a great time. Kelly decided very quickly that the gambling life was not for her. She was starting to panic after losing one dollar on the slot machine. ha ha Once she got to 3 dollars in losses she called it quits! It was too stressful for her. ha ha

We took Kelly up in the arch and that was really fun. I hadn't done that since I was like 6 years old. I'm not going to lie being in that tight little pod on the way up made me a little claustrophobic. Plus mom kept telling us stories of when she got stuck in there when she was a kid!!! Makes me sick thinking about it.
This is the view from the top. Busch Stadium!
After the conference we had a day to hang out and mom took us around town. We drove by her old house and the house my dad grew up in.

We met my uncle Terry for an afternoon at the zoo. The St. Louis zoo has always been a favorite for me. The hippos I think were my favorite on this trip.

Lynchburg Fun
A few weekends ago my friend Debbie and I drove to Lynchburg to visit our friend Christen. She just got married in June and it was time for a visit. It was SO GREAT to get away for the weekend. Things have been so nuts at work and everything with the house has been so busy it was nice to take a little break from it all. It never fails the three of us have a FABULOUS time when we are together. Here are a few fun pictures of the weekend. Thanks Christen for bringing back the beat in my life...I needed it! :-)

We went shopping and I found this little suite with the purple tie and shirt...too cute!
My belly is bigger than hers!!!
